EMILY ROSE MERRELL - actor

Emily Rose Merrell (Salem, the red witch) first came to the Detroit area for The Second City where she was an original member of the touring company before moving on to mainstage (Ito Phone Home, Whitewater Rafting). In addition to voiceovers for radio and TV she has performed in local theatres: Zeitgeist, Performance Network, the JET, and Detroit Actors’ Guild’s Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding where she played Madeline Munro. Originally from the Flint area, Emily became a student of the theatre early on at Flint Youth Theatre and has performed in several original plays written by her mentor Carolyn Nur Wistrand.  Last summer Emily shot her first film, 1-900-TALLULAH, and currently co-hosts Latin dance cable show, Club Caliente. She is a professional ballroom and Latin dancer and a graduate of Kalamazoo College, where she majored in theatre and studied in France.
