WES STUDI – actor

“Like Graham Greene, not only is he one of the best Native American actors, he is one of the finest actors in the world.  He has created many memorable roles, most notably as the vengeful Magua in 1992’s LAST OF THE MOHICANS, Geronimo in the 1993 film GERINIMO:AN AMERICAN LEGEND, and the fierce Pawnee brave in the classic film DANCES WITH WOLVES.  A full-blooded Cherokee Indian, he has a classic stone face, thick black hair and dark piercing eyes with a somber but proud demeanor. His resonant voice is one of his major assets. His film credits include above as well as STREET FIGHTER (1994) as Sagat; HEAT (1995) with Al Pacino and Robert De Niro as Detective Casals and MYSTERY MEN (1999) as The Sphinx.  Although he is at the beginning of his career, Wes Studi’s name on the credits guarantees a fine performance.”
